"Recently while at Henry’s Market in La Mesa I found a brand of gluten-free bread from Johann’s Bakery that I had not seen or heard of before. The bakery is in Vista and they make 10 different varieties. So far I’ve tried the Jalapeño-Cheese bread and the Sunflower-Flax bread and both are really excellent. The texture is that of rustic bread with a soft texture and crunchy crust. Besides the great taste they don’t have to be refrigerated. There are a couple of other GF breads I like, especially UDI’s, but I have to say for texture, flavor and storability, Johann’s Bakery bread is the best!"

"Today we found a new interesting bread at our Henry's. The name of the product is Johann's Bakery breads and they come in different flavors. We purchased the garlic flavor and the others are cheese, onion, plain, and perhaps one other. They are on the order of a French bread (texture-wise) and very tasty. Think this will go over big with the members - should be nice with spaghetti or some other Italian meal. The bakery is in Vista (rather than back east ). HOORAY!!!"

"My wife picked me up a bread at a local farmers market. It was a GF garlic
bread from Johann's bakery based in Vista of all places. She said they had
different varieties, jalapeno etc. The bread was as good as UDi's, I got
the week out of it, fresh for two days and then toasted, check it out and
pass it on."

"Their plain white GF bread is light, soft, and wonderful! It's great for sandwiches or french toast. They also use this basic recipe for cinnamon-raisin bread, cheese bread, & others. If I have to fault it at all, some loaves might have large air holes in it. I get it at the Poway Farmer's Market.".
