Reminder: You must take the responsibility of being vigilant by always reconfirming the GF status of a menu item and addressing cross-contamination issues each and every time.

On their website the Olive Garden provides information about what menu items are gluten-free, and which ones can be adapted to be gluten-free. Go to "Menu", then "Gluten/Allergen".

"My husband ordered the gf penne and asked if he could have the meat sauce on it. The waitress said no because the penne came frozen to them just like a frozen dinner that had marinara sauce on it when it was frozen. She said they had to order it that way because they "couldn't guarantee that their water was gf". We were shocked that they offered gf items that was frozen and heated in the microwave."

"I think it all depends on which Olive Garden you patronize. The one in Southeast Houston off the Gulf Fwy on the northbound feeder road is fabulous. I have eaten there more than a dozen times now with no ill effects, and I am ultra sensitive. This is a very busy location too and I have gone there during their busy lunch and busy supper times. We have an ever growing gluten intolerant population here in Houston and this particular Olive Garden happily meets our needs with a smile and the GF menu is readily available at the Hostess station. Again, the pasta was cooked to perfection as well."

"They may be on some list as having gluten-free options, but, at my local (Okla.) that is all a joke. We recently went in and saw a gluten-free menu. Needless to day we were thrilled. When we tried to order we were informed they did not have the gf pasta and that most of the items on the gf menu were discontinued as well. Why would you claim to offer a gf menu and then not have anything listed on it available?!!! The only things we were able to eat was the salad w/out croutons, period. Shame on Olive Garden for misleading advertising! And none of the staff had a clue, our poor waitress tried to be helpful, but, she didn't know either.

Maybe someone else has had success with their so-called gf menu, but our Olive Garden is a very deceitful establishment."

" We just started going back to Olive Garden here in Indianapolis. Our store was a test kitchen for the new gluten free menu. My daughter soooo loves going and actually having pasta with us. She has been twice so far and no reactions. When I called the first time the manager said alllll the right things to answer my questions. I was impressed and so far so good.!"
