Padre's GF Food Cart
Petco Park
5/10

Barb S., 7/10
"Just got back from a visit with our son in SD. I have Celiac, so was thrilled to enjoy my hot dog in a bun from the GF cart at Petco! I've emailed them to keep up the good customer service, hopefully they will. I suggested they might include the other GF foods- i.e., chips, peanuts, some candies, fountain sodas, etc. so we don't have to collect dinner. Petco is a beautiful stadium, use the cart, and enjoy being in SD ... we had to come back to the OVEN that has been Virginia this summer!!

"I'm writing to give a warning that cross contamination is a definite issue for the GF stand at Petco Park. On Monday (6/28) my wife, a friend, and I took a behind-the-scenes tour of Petco Park before the Padres Game. I was super excited to try the new GF stand until, during the pre-game tour, I saw a food-service worker heating up a burrito (flour tortilla) on the grill at the GF stand.  I went back to the stand during the game and found that the food service worker who had heated up the burrito was the same one who was manning the stand (cooking hot dogs on the grill) during the game.  Such a disappointment.  Very few can be trusted..."

"We do have a gluten free cart that is placed near La Cantina. La Cantina is located directly behind the Mercado west of the concourse.  We have gluten free hot dogs and burgers, pretzels, and a few cold items." Call Ticket Services at 619-795-5005 for further questions."

"Not sure if you’re aware, but there is now a gluten free cart at Petco Park.  They have gf hot dogs, hamburgers, pretzels, kettle corn, and veggies and hummus.  I have had two hot dogs there and it appears they have changed the bun. The first time the bun was a little dry and there was too much bun.  The second time the bun tasted like a REGULAR bun, albeit a little small for the hot dog.  But, who’s complaining – not me!! Oh Yeah – and they have gluten free Redbridge BEER!  I was in heaven last Friday with a hot dog in one hand and a beer in the other.  The only bad part of the evening…the Dodgers Won.

Please pass this info around. They told me they are thinking of discontinuing the cart because they don’t have enough customers.  The cart is located directly behind the Mercado west of the concourse.  If you take the Homeplate Gate escalator up to the field level and make an immediate left, you will be right near the cart which they said is called La Cantina, but it also says Gluten Free.

"Yes, we had hot dogs and hamburgers, with a bun, no less!!  Plus a beer for Steve, a Redbridge.  What a treat! The other items were pretzels (not soft ones, sigh!), and I think it was bags of chips or caramel popcorn, didn’t pay much attention since I brought snacks.   Nothing was cheap, of course.  Just grateful that it was available."

"I went to Petco Park the other evening for a game and had heard they had added some gluten free choices to some of their menu’s…I was pleasantly surprised to find in Section 100 a ‘Gluten Free Food Cart’ which had the option of Hotdogs and Hamburgers WITH BUNS!! I had the Hamburger and it was very good! I cannot wait to try the Hotdogs! I appreciate that they are making this effort for the Gluten Free People coming to the games. Enjoy!" Sandi, 4/19
