Reminder: You must take the responsibility of being vigilant by always reconfirming the GF status of a menu item and addressing cross-contamination issues each and every time.
Red Lobster provides an allergen menu both online and on request from your server at each restaurant. It includes the category "wheat/gluten". Read their "Allergy Information" statement, and then click on "Please reference the most up-to-date allergen menu by clicking here. . ." to view their PDF allergen chart of menu items. Be sure to note where there is an asterisk that there is a good possibility of cross-contamination. At this point it is an extremely limited menu for those eating gluten-free.
They also state: "Since recipes sometimes change, we will update the allergen menu regularly. Please note the effective date printed on each menu, and visit your local Red Lobster or redlobster.com any time you want a current copy."

"Red Lobster's online menu doesn't offer much in gluten-free foods. However,
this restaurant chain is very accommodating about making something to your
specifications. I've had several of their fresh fish entrees and I've asked
for them to be broiled on foil and (because of other health problems)
without any butter or seasonings. They've always been very accommodating."

"The lobster nachos and buffalo wings are contaminated. You have to look for a dot in the allergen that you are looking for but you also have to look for a star next to the name of the item. If there is a star, then it is CCd from frying or grilling with other things containing gluten. Looks to me like the safest menu items are steamed lobster, crab legs or shrimp scampi with a baked potato, mashed potatoes, and salad. They have some dressings that are gluten-free also. The thing boggling my mind is it looks like their strawberry cheesecake doesn't contain gluten, according to their allergen menu. But how could that be? It surely has a crust of some sort."

"My husband and I went to Red Lobster a couple of weekends ago. I explained to the waiter that I'm a Celiac and he was fantastic. He said there were alot of gluten free options and had the chef come out to explain. We had a wonderful meal, great service. We'll go back, for sure!"

" There is no crust on the strawberry cheesecake. I eat it everytime I go. One of the manager brought the box out so I could read the lable for myself. The only thing I have found to eat other than the cheesecake is the shrimp scampi, baked potato and salad. I have eaten the rice pilaf, I don't think it has made me sick but I haven't had it for a long time, I never got sick when I ate it..
The cheesecake is delish. People have been known to have their fingers threatened with a fork if they get to close."
