Starry Lane is an allergen-free bakery in Santee that opened in the fall of 2011. They specialize in artisan cookies, and state they are "vegan and allergen free". The bakery is free of peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, and soy.

"On July 3, 2012, I went to Starry Lane Bakery in Santee for the first time. I was excited to try it, as they are a dedicated gluten, dairy, nut -free facility (actually they don't have the top five allergens) and they are 100% vegan too! The owner was very friendly and informative. They have sheets listing all their products and every ingredient in each item - very useful. We bought a few varieties of cookies and everyone in my family thought they were delicious (even my husband who is not GF). They also have (through pre-order) peach cobbler, apple pie, and cupcakes. What a wonderful resource for those of us in East County! I definitely recommend this bakery."
