Whole Foods is primarily a grocery store chain with an abundant number of gluten free food products. Also available at both of the Whole Foods in San Diego is a salad bar with freshly prepared salad ingredients, a hot prepared food bar, and a cold prepared food bar. Each item contained in these bars has a detailed sign posted listing all of the ingredients it contains. You may get food in containers to go or eat at the tables provided in the stores. There is also a sandwich station where sandwiches can be made with gluten-free bread upon request. The worry is cross-contamination, as always.
